Village at Plum Valley

Village at Plum Valley
Village at Plum Valley is home to the Day Habilitation Program and the After-School Care Program.
The Day Habilitation Program encourages individuals with disabilities to continue to increase academic skills, participate in community service projects, enjoy leisure activities, paint beautiful pieces of ceramics, utilize the sensory room, take part in “Cooking to Learn” classes, and simply enjoy spending time with friends.
The After-School Care Program provides supervision and homework help for individuals with disabilities, ages 14-22. A collaborative program between Village Learning & Achievement Center and Humble ISD, students are transported from area Humble ISD high schools to Village at Plum Valley immediately following school dismissal.
Currently, the Lake Houston Family YMCA provides after-school care to children with disabilities between the ages of 5-13. Humble ISD provides transportation for the students to the appropriate centers for care (elementary or middle school), and Humble ISD and Village Learning & Achievement Center provide staff training to the YMCA personnel.
